Invitations were sent out to all HKU full-time students via HKU Bulk Email Delivery System. The first 300 students to successfully submit the completed questionnaire will get a HK$50 Starbucks coffee voucher as a token of appreciation.

The target population of this survey is full-time students of the University of Hong Kong aged 18 or above. 

The survey was conducted during the period of November 17 to 19, 2013. 1,650 eligible respondents successfully completed the online survey. The effective response rate was 8.9%, and the standard sampling error for percentages based on this sample was less than 1.2 percentage points. In other words, the maximum sampling error for percentages was less than plus/minus 2.3 percentage points at 95% confidence level.
