About the Topic With the ever-intensifying political and social challenges facing Hong Kong, how to solve conflicts between the administration and the community in a civilized way has become a major question in recent years. Prof Robert LUSKIN from The University of Texas at Austin will share in this forum his experience of running public opinion research in the past few decades and explains how “deliberation” can be used to engage the public in making important decisions. The Forum will be moderated by Robert CHUNG, Director of Public Opinion Programme, HKU, while invited panelists include Daniel TSANG, a Fulbright Research Scholar, and Kenneth CHAN, Associate Professor of Department of Government and International Studies, HKBU.
